Heyo! 🙂 So, I am not going to start out this post by apologizing how I haven’t written for three months. I seem to always start out that way so you all are used to it by now 😉
As you may have gathered from the title, I recently attempted to make another cosplay. This one was from the amazing Hero’s Guide book series 🙂 Ella is one of my many favorite characters from this series.
(Go read it, it’s a ton of fun and you won’t be able to stop laughing through the entire series 😉 )
So without further ado, here’s my Ella cosplay! XD
The base pattern I used was Simplicity’s pattern 1773. I changed a lot of things, but that was my starting point.
I spent very little money on this project. The pattern was one I already had, and the only fabric I bought was for the skirt. (The bottom left in above picture.) It’s actually a tablecloth I bought at a thrift store for around $4. And it was a really nice tablecloth too. Thrift stores are pretty much the best things ever, guys! XD The rest of the fabric I already had.
The vest was probably the hardest thing I made. Vests and I don’t get along for some reason… XP The necklace was one I already had, and it happened to work perfectly 🙂 The collar was one thing I could have improved on… But hey, it’s not terrible 🙂 I haven’t done a lot of collars before, so that’s one area I could improve on.
So there you have it! All in all I was happy with it all 🙂 It was a fun project.
Hopefully sometime soon (AKA, before another three months goes by 😉 ) I’ll be able to bring ya’ll up to date about what all is happening in my life. It’s always an adventure, that’s for sure 🙂
Talk to ya later!
